What is a Stradivarius violin?
A Stradivarius violin is a musical instrument made in the workshop of Antonio Giacomo Stradivari, known as “Stradivarius”, a famous violin maker who lived between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
A Stradivarius violin simply refers to a classical violin made by Antonio Giacomo Stradivari. Due to its rarity and value, the price of a Stradivarius violin depends on certain parameters.
Determining the price of a Stradivarius violin
Several elements are taken into account in determining the price of a Stradivarius violin. However, these elements are difficult to grasp.
Some people believe that they can recognize these violins by their labels, but this cannot be the only determining factor since many counterfeits exist.
Like the label thesis, several pseudo theories have been put forward in the context of their recognition.
Nevertheless, only an expert in the field will be able to ensure its authenticity, its working condition and the quality of the sound it can produce.
Depending on the results of this expertise, the violin can then be sold. Generally, Stradivari violins are sold at auction.
